Introduction

Welcome!

I am a doctoral graduate of Stanford’s Management Science & Engineering School, passionate about the intersection of entrepreneurship, technological innovation, and national security. My studies focus on the impact of government subsidies on new technology venture creation and growth. I’m interested in the answer to the question, “Does it make sense to do business with the government?” This site comprises a collection of my academic work in the subject.

I am extremely fortunate to know and work with a number of brilliant individuals who are also interested in this question. Their diversity of thought and depth of experience spurs my own work, and is something I felt important to share along side my own academic works. Hopefully the “featured articles” page gives you a wide range of opinions from which to form your own.

Prior to completing my PhD in Strategy and Policy, I completed an M.S. and B.S. in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I currently serve as the managing director of AFVentures, the Department of the Air Force’s commercial investment group.
